The Great Neck Water Pollution Control District will again be collecting used cooking oil left over from Thanksgiving. The cooking oil will then be converted into Biofuel for use at the District’s plant as part of its energy savings initiative. The District is now taking calls from residents and businesses to schedule a free at-home cooking oil and grease pick-up. Scheduled pick-ups will take place the day after Thanksgiving, Friday November 28, 2014, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call (516) 482-0238 to schedule your pick-up.
